A private appraisal is ordered by you, your attorney or your CPA rather than a mortgage lender. It is used for estates, divorce, tax appeals, PMI removal, pricing and investment decisions.
Can you appraise a property as of a past date?
Yes. Retrospective appraisals value a property on an earlier date, such as a date of death or a date of separation. See our date of death appraisals page.
